Chanukah is approaching, the festival of miracle and light, of donuts and dreidles. As we prepare for another holiday in our calendar, we cannot forget that over 400 days later, 101 hostages remain captive in Gaza in dire, dark, dangerous conditions.

Over a year ago i started the 'youbetheirlight' Shabbat Candle Campaign for the innocent people stolen from their families and homes During the darkest of times, we have packed over 180,000 candles in London alone, with over 3.5million being distributed globally.

It is the largest Shabbat Candle initiative in Jewish History. The candles are a symbol of hope, a silent prayer for the safe return of those who cannot light candles where they are currently held.

With these candles we are not just pushing away the darkness, but igniting the divine spark that is within them and all of us.

The weekly cost for the 2,000 North London candle packs is £500.

Any contribution towards the total is greatly appreciated and allows people to continue to light ON BEHALF of the innocent hostages.

People have sponsored a week of packing in honour of anything from a Simcha, Wedding, Barmitzvah, Birthday or in memory of a loved one.
